Pitching up for telematics car insurance

It’s nearly music festival time and my mates and I have planned to go to a few events up and down the country this summer.

To work out who was going to drive to the different venues we’ve picked names out of a hat and I got Reading. Thankfully, Reading’s not too far for me, and I’ve got plenty of time before the end of August to make sure I have enough miles in place on my telematics car insurance, but my mum was still worried that I might be involved in a car crash or my car might get stolen.

Luckily, I was able to remind her that my insurethebox insurance for young drivers comes complete with a telematics device which has built-in theft-tracking capabilities and an accident alert facility.

So, should the car be stolen, police can use the GPS signal to help locate it and if the car experiences unusual impacts or high levels of G force which might indicate it has been involved in a collision, the team at insurethebox will attempt to contact me to make sure I’m ok. If necessary, they can alert the emergency services so that they can investigate the problem and get help to us.

Mum feels quite reassured by this, but unfortunately, she’s not that confident in my camping skills. Hmmm, she’s got a point – it’s a pity insurethebox don’t do tents.
