Furthermore, three in five women admitted to taking one or both hands off the steering wheel to push their hair out of their face or rearrange it.

Many of these women apparently had suffered an accident or a near miss due to their hair obstructing their view of the road or distracting them.

But what of male motorists?

The survey was conducted on women, who are stereotypically always concerned with their appearance, but, some men also sport hairstyles with a long fringe or another style which could get in the way when behind the wheel. And even a short spiky style may require some adjustment during a long journey, so maybe male drivers should heed these warnings also.
