Cheap quote news - Car insurance for women is a waiting game
Car insurance for women news - Woman drivers more patient
Car insurance for women has long been cheaper than it has been for men. Many reasons have been put forward to justify this – from the lower rates of serious accidents involving woman drivers to the higher number of male drink-drivers.
However, a recent survey, released by a well-known vehicle repair company on the 14th April this year, sheds more light on why car insurance for women is, in general, cheaper than motor insurance for men: patience.
The survey of around 2,000 drivers found that although 21% of the women questioned were critical of the way their male partners interacted with other road users, particularly in regard to their perceived lack of patience. Meanwhile, only 7% of men were critical of their female partner's lack of patience with other road users.
A spokesperson for the company which commissioned the survey, commented, "Although everyone has differences of opinion, it's important to remember that we all drive a lot more safely when we're relaxed than when we are annoyed or frustrated.
"And we suggest that men listen carefully. The large number of women saying their partner drives too fast, too close and is too impatient suggests that male drivers should be heeding the advice of their passenger to be safer on the roads."
Good things come to those wait, it is said, and it seems that cheap car insurance for women may be no different.
