Low mileage driver news - Buyers of GPS car insurance save on cover
Car insurance news - Potholes causing irritation for road residents
As well as buying GPS car insurance, which can help some drivers receive a low cost annual premium through safe and considerate driving, road users can reduce their motoring costs by not causing undue damage to their vehicle.
Bearing this in mind it is easy to understand why many of the residents of Hackenden Close in West Sussex are losing patience with West Sussex County Council for leaving their road full of potholes, which can wreak havoc with vehicle suspension.
The road, which is only around 320 metres in length with 61 houses along it, has 134 potholes on its surface and some of the locals believe that it could be one of the most poorly maintained streets in Britain.
One of the road's occupants stated, "The council send workmen along every now and again, but they fill in one or two and then leave.
"Why they can't fill in more is a total mystery – and the ones they do fill in soon open up again or are replaced with others."
A large number of the people living in and around Hackenden Close have written to complain to the council in an attempt to get the holes filled and the authority has stated that it is aware of the problem and will do something to rectify it.
In the meantime, low-mileage drivers in the area may want to be saving money on the cost of driving by buying GPS car insurance in case they need to pay for repairs to their car.
Although avoiding potholes can save drivers money on repairs, it is important to only manoeuvre around a pothole if it is safe to do so. Steering off course without paying attention to the surrounding road could result in a car accident.
