Low mileage driver news - Road Safety Week and low mileage insurance

Driving news - Low mileage insurance holders and Too Young to Die theme

Hundreds of road users, including those with low mileage insurance, are killed or injured in road traffic accidents every year in the UK.

In a bid to reduce the number of crashes on British highways, Road Safety Week will take place from the 21st to the 27th of November this year in an attempt to spread awareness of road safety and save lives.

In preparation for this, road safety charity Brake is appealing to businesses to get involved and register for the national event.

Every year organisations, schools, and communities around the UK raise awareness of the dangers of driving irresponsibly, and the effects it can have on families and friends of those involved, amongst their staff, clients and surrounding community

The theme for 2011 is Too Young to Die, and may be a subject which is close to home for many high and low mileage drivers alike.

The campaign's director for Brake stated, "Companies can play a crucial role in spreading road safety awareness and helping to prevent needless tragedies on our roads.

"Road Safety Week is an ideal opportunity for companies to get involved in a national event and raise awareness of vital road safety issues with their staff, customers, business contacts and the wider community.

"Brake really values the involvement of companies and we're urging them to register online now to get free guidance and resources."

Any low mileage insurance holders who wish to get involved in Road Safety Week can have a look at the event website for more information on how to do so.
