Young driver insurance holders are being given the opportunity to experience the power of a supercar on Rockingham Race Circuit in Northamptonshire by taking part in the insurethebox Driver of the Year scheme.

All existing insurethebox clients will be entered, with 20 customers being chosen from the following four categories:

• Male drivers of 21 years and under;
• Female drivers of 21 years and under;
• Male drivers of over 21 years;
• Female drivers of over 21 years.

The telematics insurance device, the Clear Box, continually monitors policyholders' driving behaviour and, by analysing this data, the team at insurethebox can see which customers have driven the most positively – gaining the most Bonus Miles.

Five motorists from each group, those with the best Bonus Miles accrued over a minimum of four months, will be invited to participate in a day of advanced driving tuition at what is said to be Europe's fastest racing circuit.

On arrival at the international motor-sport venue the drivers, who are able to bring one non-driving guest, will be treated to breakfast, and later that day, lunch and afternoon tea.

The Driver of the Year event will be taking place on the 23rd of June 2011, and any motorists who have young driver insurance with insurethebox could qualify if they drive safely and responsibly.
