The black box will remain in your car but it is permanently disabled by us remotely. If you wish you may request for it to be removed.

If you do not want to renew with us, you need to call us more than 3 days before your renewal date – the earlier the better. You will receive your renewal documents 21 days before your current policy expiry date. Remember: if you have driven safely and earned a high number of Bonus Miles you could get a competitive price at renewal.
No – you will not have to pay any extra towards the cost of the black box if you do not renew your policy at the end of your first year of cover.
However, if your policy is cancelled and a black box has already been fitted to your car, or had been fitted to a car you previously insured with us, the cancellation fee will be £80. Fees will be subject to Insurance Premium Tax where applicable.
If you pay by direct debit then the initial payment will be taken within 10 working days after the renewal date. Your following direct debits will then be taken each month on this date for the remainder of your policy. If you pay by credit or debit card then the payment will be collected 3 days before the policy is due for renewal.
Unless you have authorised us to use a different card, for example if you have made a mid term adjustment, your renewal payment(s) will be taken from the card that you provided when you first took out the policy.
Once you have been insured with us for a year, we will be able to see various details about your driving style, and you may get a lower premium if you have driven safely. Please be aware the renewal price can also be affected by other changes in circumstances like moving house and changing car.

If you have given us permission, your Policy will be renewed automatically using the payment details you have previously given.
We will only automatically renew your Policy after issuing you with a renewal notice. If you do not want us to automatically renew your cover, you must contact us more than 3 days before your renewal date and advise us accordingly. Your renewal payment will be taken from your account 3 days before the renewal date. Should this payment fail or we have any difficulties in collecting your premium, we will contact you at the address you have given us.
It is however your responsibility to ensure you are covered to drive your car. Please check your renewal notice for further details when it is available to you.
