Did you know today is Project EDWARD day?
If you’re not familiar with Project EDWARD (European Day Without A Road Death) it’s a European awareness project introduced by TISPOL – The European Traffic Police Network – that’s been running for the last three years. Over 31 countries are working together to make a day where there are no deaths on any roads in Europe, and ultimately to make every day a day without a road death. For that reason, insurethebox is whole-heartedly behind the project.
Project EDWARD says that driver behaviour remains the most important barrier to progress. Some of the main ways drivers are putting others at risk are:
- Speeding
- Using your phone while driving
- Engaging in risky manoeuvres
At insurethebox we believe that our drivers can take control of their own behaviour. We encourage every driver, no matter how experienced you think you are, to think – even for a moment – about the risks you face when driving, along with the risks you may pose to others. How can you go about reducing these? How can you drive differently and potentially save a life?
