insurethebox, one of UK’s leading telematics insurers, announces investment into transforming their customer experience to increase portal usability

insurethebox sets their sights on transforming their customer experience, with the launch of an improved self-serve focused customer portal. The soft launch in March 2021 is set to be the first one in a series of releases planned for the year, which aim to increase the portal usability and performance to further empower drivers, and future-proof the brand in the telematics car insurance space.

Each insurethebox customer gains exclusive access to a personalised online portal, which enables them to track their driving behaviour and mileage allowance, along with any rewards, earned as part of their insurance package for safe driving.

Following extensive customer testing, the improved customer portal will allow policyholders to manage their policy and communications with more flexibility online, also benefitting from lower policy change fees. The release features a significant switch towards self-service capabilities, whilst the improved user experience and visualisation of driving data will support customers further in becoming safer drivers.

Warren Hetz, CEO at Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance UK, the parent company of insurethebox, comments:

“Consumer behaviour is undeniably shifting in the current climate, and favouring effortlessness more than before; whether that be simply engaging with a business in quick and convenient manner, or easily accessing the most relevant information to meet their individual needs.

Our digital transformation is being driven with these key concepts in mind. By updating and improving upon our customer portal, we aim to provide policyholders with all the information and tools they need to self-serve at any time, creating a seamless experience and better meeting their needs.

These updates have been carefully considered and led by listening to our customers – but this is just the beginning for insurethebox this year. Our capabilities and digital experiences are set to further improve, as we adapt to the needs of today’s drivers”.
