What are the policy documents?

We rely on the information and statements you provide when we issue your policy. This information, together with the policy documents listed below must be read as a whole as they constitute the legally binding Policy of insurance between you and us. Please take a few minutes to check your documents. Your policy documents are your Statement of fact, Schedule (including any endorsements), Certificate of Motor Insurance and Private Car Policy Document. They can all be found on the left hand side of the page in Your Portal (click ‘Log in to Your Portal’ at www.insurethebox.com).

Am I insured for driving abroad?

You will be insured to drive anywhere in the EU or associated countries. We provide automatic cover for your car when it is being driven within the European Economic Area for up to 90 days for any one trip. We would always recommend that you ensure you have enough miles to cover your trip before leaving and, if not, top up your mileage to ensure you have adequate cover throughout the duration of the trip. Please note: courtesy cars are not available abroad and repairs undertaken abroad are not guaranteed as they are not carried out by our approved network of repairers. Please see your Private Car Policy Document for details, which can be found online via Your Portal.
