Help Category: Uninsured Loss Protection

What are uninsured losses?

Uninsured losses are any losses that you incur as a result of a claim which are not covered under the terms of your policy. All insurethebox policies include Uninsured Loss Protection.

This provides cover for legal costs up to £100,000 to reclaim losses, not covered by your policy, from someone who has caused an accident resulting in your injury or damage to your car. Please therefore ensure you retain all documentary evidence in relation to uninsured losses, as this may be required to pursue the losses as part of your policy cover.

What cover will you provide if my vehicle is hit by an uninsured driver or by an unknown driver when parked?

As all our policies are fully comprehensive, we will cover the costs of getting your car repaired and then seek to obtain our costs from the driver at fault.  However if we are unable to claim these costs back through them or their insurer you may lose some or all of your No Claim Discount and have to pay your excess as a result.
